Samantha Watkins
Account Manager, Select Department
Chico, California
Samantha began her insurance career as a temporary employee in Accounting for the summer, and then as a trainee Account Manager in the Surety Dept when she was fresh out of college. She has since transitioned to the Select Business Unit, on a mission to learn commercial insurance. She completed the TotalCSR training modules and is successfully and independently managing a book of Artisan Contractors. She has a long runway of opportunities in front of her and we’re excited to watch her grow.
Samantha has a passion for running. She is an active coach and board member of the Chico Striders, actively coaching kids 8-10, fostering the love of running and a healthy lifestyle.
Samantha’s family ties to insurance run deep with her dad, an uncle and cousin being brokers for many years. We’re excited Samantha is planting her roots with InterWest and continuing the family legacy in insurance.
Sam leads by example. She is kind, driven, works hard and takes the time to build relationships with her clients. She has overcome many challenges and always has a positive outlook. She comes to work every day with a smile on her face. Sam is committed to working InterWest.
