Topic – ACA Washington Update
Please join us for an update on the Affordable Care Act and other employee benefit news, including new rules and regulations affecting employee benefit plans. We’ll also discuss the Texas v. US lawsuit that is challenging the constitutionality of the ACA, as well as recent court rulings on the Administration’s rules for moral and religious exemptions from the ACA’s contraceptive coverage requirements. Also covered will be the impact of the partial government shutdown on agencies like the IRS and Department of Labor, and what it means for employee benefit plans. And finally, we’ll review a recent lawsuit involving an employer’s failure to offer COBRA to an employee after a reduction in hours.
