ACA – Political Winds of Change
Presented by Stacy Barrow
Employee Benefits Attorney
Please join us for an update on the Affordable Care Act and other employee benefit news. We’ll take a look at the upcoming midterm elections and how they might shape healthcare reform in the future. We’ll review the two bills that were passed by the U.S. House of Representatives that would significantly expand Health Savings Accounts, if they make it past the Senate and are signed into law. We’ll discuss a lawsuit containing the first holding that insurance carriers are entitled to cost-sharing reduction payments under the ACA, despite the government not appropriating the funds. We’ll also review the projected limits for health FSA contributions and qualified transportation fringe benefits in 2019.
